Course of the competition

The first round shall take place on Saturday 7th November 2015. Each participating ensemble will present their programme, not exceeding 15 minutes. The jury will then decide which three ensembles shall be admitted to the second and final round; the finalists being announced by the chairperson of the jury. The first round is open to the public and there is no entrance fee. The ballroom of the Maximilianeum foundation in Munich is an intimate setting with limited capacity and seats will be reserved for participants’ friends and family.

The second and final round will be held on the evening of Sunday 8th November 2015. The finalists shall present their complete programme, which should be no longer than 30 minutes. The order of appearance will be decided by lot. The second round is a ticketed public event with tickets available from October 2015 onwards. The President of the Jury will announce the winner of Sforzando 2015 after the presentation of the Audience Award and the Press Award.

Refreshments are provided after both rounds, providing an opportunity for participants, audience members, and the jury to interact and exchange views.
